Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant
(PA) to join our team in a full time hybrid role that includes outpatient clinic care, after-hours
walk-in clinic, and periodic hospital rounding. This dynamic position is ideal for a provider who
thrives in both outpatient and inpatient settings and is passionate about delivering high-quality,
patient-centered care.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
and be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct clinical care in both the main clinic and the after-hours clinic, treating a
wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
Participate in a rotating schedule to cover one weekend of hospital call and rounding
per month, including management of inpatients in coordination with attending
physicians.
Perform comprehensive health assessments, develop care plans, and implement
appropriate treatment interventions.
Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests and labs.
Prescribe medications and provide detailed patient education on treatments, conditions,
and preventive care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including physicians, specialists, and support
staff, to ensure seamless, integrated care.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
program.
Licensure/Certification:
o Current and unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in
[Insert State]. - National board certification (AANP, ANCC for NPs; NCCPA for PAs).
- DEA license and prescriptive authority in good standing.
Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital/inpatient setting is required.
- Experience in both clinic and urgent/after-hours care preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong clinical decision-making and diagnostic skills
Excellent communication, adaptability, and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated and comfortable working both independently and as part of a care team
Familiarity with EHR systems (eClinicalWorks, Epic, etc.)
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple clinical responsibilities
Work Environment and Schedule:
Hybrid role with time split between: - Main outpatient clinic

Includes exposure to clinical environments, possible extended periods of standing or
walking, and occasional lifting of medical equipment or supplies
